The Department of the Attorney General monitors and coordinates the development of justice-related legislation. It specifically tracks all proposed amendments for legislation that fall within the portfolio responsibilities of the Attorney General.
Access to Western Australian legislation and statutory information is available on the State Law Publisher's website, www.slp.wa.gov.au. The service is free-of-charge and provides access to all current legislation and a range of other statutory information.
Authorised hard copy versions of legislation can be purchased from the State Law Publisher at 10 William Street, Perth, or by phoning 9321 7688, from 8am - 5pm weekdays.
New Graffiti Legislation.
New laws relating to graffiti and the use of certain related implements have come into effect in Western Australia from January 1. The new legislation has implications for retailers who stock certain types of marker products, spray paints and other such stock.
